Friends of Middleton Park
Steering Group

About the Steering Group
Every year at the November Annual Meeting of the Friends, Officers and Trustees are elected, and they meet every 2 months to deal with official matters.
Every month members of the Friends meet with officers and trustees in a group called The Steering Group. This meeting is the organisational hub of the Friends. It discusses issues and problems with the park, organises the Friends' events, arranges meetings, including the April public meeting and November Annual meeting, and deals with a lot of the Friends' business. Graeme Ashton, the LCC Estate Officer for Middleton Park, regularly attends Steering Group meetings. His reports on what has been happening in the park are very informative. Local Councillors also regularly attend.
These Steering Group meetings are open meetings so anyone can come along and, at the discretion of the Chair, take part.
A special group organises the Annual September Great Middleton Park show.
Dates and Venue of Steering Group Meetings
The Steering Group usually meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, starting at 7 pm. The Meetings are held at the Urban Bike Hub in the park.
